What We Do
Accommodation at Desert Sands is spread over two floors in three separate blocks All apartments are air conditioned, with queen size beds and surrounded by trees giving a sense of privacy.
Each apartment is totally self contained including fridge, stove, microwave, washing machine and all cutlery. Many of our rooms are equipped with LCD television and DVD players
If you do not want to cook indoors BBQ facilities are available or chose to eat in the town with a courtesy bus available to take and return you if you wish.
You are welcome to enjoy a drink by the pool or under the trees and just relax.

The vast area of the Barkly is home to many of Australia’s premier cattle stations and Tennant creek is the area of Australia’s last gold rush. The area is rich in gold and other minerals with mining exploration still taking place today.
The traditional aboriginal owners still inhabit the area with the Nyinkka Nyunu cultural centre showcasing their story.
Desert Sands Motel is located at the southern end of the township of Tennant Creek and provides fully self contained apartments for both business and holiday travelers alike.
With lovely treed surrounds BBQ facilities and inviting salt water pool we offer a great place to relax after a long day on the road.
